Plein Air Painting in Pakefield

Saturday 8th June 2019

Starting with a short demonstration oil sketch, this is a day of guided outdoor painting in Pakefield. There is free parking, we have the use of a beach hut for the day which also gives us access to the toilets there. There are small fishing boats of various sizes drawn up onto the shingle beach. , Looking south, there are views down the coast towards Kessingland and beyond with a low cliff around the bay. There is the double nave of the church of St Margaret’s and All Saints up on the cliff. Looking up towards Lowestoft there is a row of beach huts below the cliff with the sandy dunes leading out to the sea.

Ferini Gallery is very close by. There is a café, good fish and chip shop and two pubs serving food all within a very short distance. Bring your own equipment, materials and a packed lunch.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided through the day. Starting at 10.00 am with the demonstration, you can chose your own location for the remainder of the day and we’ll come back together at 4.00 pm. Cost per person £40.
