Masterclasses and Guided Painting Days
at Mendham Mill for the Munnings Museum
I'm really thrilled to be running two days of guided plein air painting at Mendham Mill for the Munnings Museum on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July 2019.
Mendham MIll in Suffolk is the birthplace of Sir Alfred Munnings (a very distant relative). Not usually open to the public, it will be the location for two days of plein air tuition and painting in July as part of the programme of events at The MUnnings Museum at Castle House, Dedham. The Mill has been brought back to wonderful condition and the grounds restored by the present owners who have a very close relationship with Castle House.
The Mill is a unique location for painting - the Mill itself, the restored Mill race and wheel, the River Waveney, numerous outbuildings, beautiful grounds and much more make this the perfect venue for a painting experience. I shall be starting each day with a demonstration of an aspect of painting in oil "en plein air" and then guiding each artist as they set about their own studies during the days. Numbers are strictly limited and the fee includes tuition and catering. There are also a number of spaces available for those who wish to paint at the MIll without catering and tuition. I'll still be on hand to offer guidance to these painters as appropriate.
Booking is direct through the Munnings Museum. This is the link.
